What bridge clubs get

The club's admin, in one place

Pivot handles the booking and payment side of a bridge club. It does not score or run the game itself, so it sits alongside the scoring software you already use.

Sessions and lessons online

Publish your sessions and lessons with a price and a limit on numbers. Members book a place themselves.

Paid when they book

Table money and lesson fees are paid upfront, into the club's own Stripe account. No cash tin, no IOUs.

Waitlists

When a session is full, members join a waitlist and are offered a place if one opens.

Memberships

Membership plans billed by subscription, with member prices applied automatically.

Emails to members

Booking confirmations and reminders are sent for you. On Pivot Pro and Premium you can also email your members directly.

No app required

Members can book on the web with nothing to install. The app is there for those who want it.

Plainly put

What Pivot does and does not do

Pivot was built for court sports and now runs a bridge club as well. It is the booking, payment and membership side of the club.

  • Does: session and lesson bookings, with limits and waitlists
  • Does: online payment, memberships and member emails
  • Does: attendance check-in for session hosts
  • Does not: score sessions, run movements or calculate masterpoints

Questions

Bridge club questions

Can a bridge club take session bookings and payments online?

Yes. With Pivot Sports a bridge club publishes its sessions and lessons, members book a place and pay online, and the club sees who is coming. A waitlist fills places as they open.

Pivot does not score bridge sessions or run movements; clubs keep their existing scoring software for that.

How much does Pivot Sports cost?

Pivot Start is US$25 a month, Pivot Pro is US$75 a month, Pivot Premium is US$299 a month. Every plan also carries a 4% fee on each booking, session and membership payment processed through Pivot.

There is no setup fee and no contract. Players never pay to use Pivot.

Do players have to download an app to book?

No. Players can book and pay on the web at book.bookpivot.com without installing anything. The Pivot Sports app for iPhone and Android adds extras such as chat, a social feed and notifications, and uses the same login.

Can we run memberships through Pivot?

Yes, on the Pivot Pro and Pivot Premium plans. You create membership plans with their own price, billing period, member discounts and booking benefits, and members are billed automatically by subscription through Stripe.

How does our club get paid?

Player payments go directly into your club's own Stripe account. Players pay when they book, so there is nothing to invoice or chase afterwards.

Each club takes payment in its own currency.

How long does it take to get set up?

Initial setup takes 20 to 30 minutes, and most venues go live in one to six weeks. That time includes five to eight hours of one-to-one training with a Pivot technician, at your pace.

We configure your courts, prices and opening hours with you, and stay with you through launch day.
