About Pivot
What is Pivot Sports?
Pivot Sports is booking and club management software for clubs and venues of every sport - courts, tables, lanes, rinks, studios and spaces. Players book and pay online through a free app or a web booking page, and the club manages courts, prices, memberships, group sessions and payments from one web app.
It was co-founded by Liz Irving, a former World No. 2 squash player, and is a strategic partner of Squash Australia and Pickleball Australia.
Which sports does Pivot Sports support?
Every sport. Pivot is set up today for tennis, padel, pickleball, squash, badminton, table tennis, racquetball, basketball, lawn bowls, snooker, darts, bridge, gyms and room hire, and a new sport is added on request. Each court, table, lane or space is set up with its own opening hours, slot length and prices, so a venue with more than one sport runs them all in one system.
Where is Pivot Sports available?
Venues in Australia, South Africa and Papua New Guinea use Pivot today. Each club takes payment in its own currency and shows times in its own time zone.
What is Rally?
Rally is the booking assistant on the Pivot web booking pages. It helps players find a club, quotes live availability and prices, and builds a link to a ready-filled checkout.
Rally never takes card details itself: payment always happens on the secure checkout page.
Pricing and payment
How much does Pivot Sports cost?
Pivot Start is US$25 a month, Pivot Pro is US$75 a month, Pivot Premium is US$299 a month. Every plan also carries a 4% fee on each booking, session and membership payment processed through Pivot.
There is no setup fee and no contract. Players never pay to use Pivot.
What is the 4% transaction fee?
A 4% fee applies to every booking, session and membership payment processed through Pivot, on top of the monthly plan price.
You choose whether the club absorbs that fee or passes it on to the player.
Is there a contract or setup fee?
No. There is no setup fee and no lock-in contract. You pay your first month when you go live, and you can cancel at any time.
Can we change plans later?
Yes. You can move up, move down or cancel at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
How does our club get paid?
Player payments go directly into your club's own Stripe account. Players pay when they book, so there is nothing to invoice or chase afterwards.
Each club takes payment in its own currency.
For venues
How long does it take to get set up?
Initial setup takes 20 to 30 minutes, and most venues go live in one to six weeks. That time includes five to eight hours of one-to-one training with a Pivot technician, at your pace.
We configure your courts, prices and opening hours with you, and stay with you through launch day.
Can we run memberships through Pivot?
Yes, on the Pivot Pro and Pivot Premium plans. You create membership plans with their own price, billing period, member discounts and booking benefits, and members are billed automatically by subscription through Stripe.
Can we run group sessions and coaching?
Yes. You can create one-off or repeating group sessions with a price and a player limit, and a waitlist fills places as they open. Coaching runs the same way, with coach profiles and a coach earnings report.
Does Pivot Sports work with door access codes?
Yes. For venues with keypad entry, Pivot issues a door code with each paid booking. The player sees it in the app and on the web booking confirmation, so staff do not need to be on site to let people in.
Does Pivot Sports work with RevSport?
Yes. Membership data from sporting associations that use RevSport is synchronised into club membership records in Pivot.
For players
Do players pay to use Pivot?
No. The Pivot Sports app and the web booking page are free for players. Players pay only for what they book, at the prices the venue sets.
Do players have to download an app to book?
No. Players can book and pay on the web at book.bookpivot.com without installing anything. The Pivot Sports app for iPhone and Android adds extras such as chat, a social feed and notifications, and uses the same login.
Can players cancel and get a refund themselves?
Yes, within the rules your venue sets. Players can cancel, reschedule and receive a refund from the app or the web without contacting you, and staff can refund a booking from the web app.
