Which suits which club

An honest read

Skedda may suit you better if

  • You mainly need to book rooms, desks or shared spaces rather than run a sports club
  • You do not need memberships, group sessions or a player app built for sport

Pivot Sports may suit you better if

  • You run a squash, pickleball or bridge venue: those are the sports Pivot is used for today
  • You want a low fixed monthly cost, with the rest of what you pay rising and falling with your bookings
  • You want one-to-one onboarding, with a person who configures your courts and prices with you
  • Squash Australia or Pickleball Australia matter to your club: Pivot is a strategic partner of both
Plainly put

Questions

Pivot Sports and Skedda

What is the difference between Pivot Sports and Skedda?

Skedda is space booking software, aimed mainly at workplaces, priced from US$99 a month, billed annually. Pivot Sports is booking and club management software used by venues of every sport, priced from US$25 a month plus a 4% fee on payments processed.

The main difference in pricing is what the price is based on. Skedda: number of bookable spaces: 15 to 45 included, depending on plan and region. Pivot: a flat plan price plus a percentage of payments.

Is Pivot Sports cheaper than Skedda?

It depends on how much money your club takes through the system. Pivot's monthly price is lower, from US$25 a month, but it adds a 4% fee on payments processed. A club taking US$5,000 a month in bookings would pay US$200 in fees on top of its plan.

Skedda's payment fees: not stated for its main plans. Add your own figures for both before deciding.

Which sports does Pivot Sports support?

Every sport. Pivot is set up today for tennis, padel, pickleball, squash, badminton, table tennis, racquetball, basketball, lawn bowls, snooker, darts, bridge, gyms and room hire, and a new sport is added on request. Each court, table, lane or space is set up with its own opening hours, slot length and prices, so a venue with more than one sport runs them all in one system.

Is there a contract or setup fee?

No. There is no setup fee and no lock-in contract. You pay your first month when you go live, and you can cancel at any time.
